The Eolian Islands are located in the Province of Messina in Sicily and can be reached from several locations.

HOW TO REACH STROMBOLI:

BY BOAT:

Milazzo is the port on the coast of Sicily ever closer to the Eolian Islands and the courses are conducted several times a day, either by hydrofoil ship.

From October to May there are only connections via hydrofoil from Milazzo. You can also take a connection from Naples or from Milazzo, although less frequent.
 

 From June to September all connections are more frequent by boat from Milazzo and Naples .

FROM NAPLES BY SHIP: Departure time: 8 p.m. from the central port of Naples pier Angioino. Trip time: approximately 9 hours; multiple weekly departures depends on the seasons. Stromboli is the first stop.

FROM NAPLES BY HYDROFIL: The service is available from 1st of June to 15/09; daily departures from the pier Beverello at 2 p.m.; trip time: approximately 4 hours. stromboli is the first port of call.

FROM MILAZZO BY HYDROFOIL: The service is daily throughout the year and provides different courses according to the period. Trip time: approximately 2 hours. In case of direct runs the trip time takes only 1 hour.

BY TRAIN:

 

Arriving from North you can reach  Milazzo by train, specially during the winter  or low season.

Attention: during the winter or low season boat connection are NOT frequently.

Travelling at night you will arrive at Milazzo Station at 5:00 a.m.. From the port of Milazzo you can reach Stromboli taking the first hydrofoil Siremar, leaving at 06:05 a.m.. Trip time: 1 hour.
